I suppose it all starts with our parents who make lots of things. We got to see the pride they took in making things and the joy it brought them. Our parents put a lot of emphasis on tradition, holidays, and family time. Both of them handmade holiday decorations that we pulled out year after year. Similar to a stocking these handmade items gave us a thrill when handling and remind us of the times spent celebrating with family and friends. Once we had our own children we felt that we wanted to carry these traditions with us. 

With Tom Kitten Goods, we want to make something that you will want to keep forever and then pass down. We want to make something that will make you and the people you love feel special. We want to support family traditions and help create new ones. We want to do something that feels meaningful, while also doing what we can to reduce our impact on the earth, support local businesses by paying a living wage, and by making a product that can be used again and again.  So here it is; Tom Kitten Goods.
